My (occasional) news.
October 2017: I finished my 300th painting (Pine trees by the shore) and sold my 100th painting (Country Garden - an old picture not in the gallery).

25th January 2018. Presentation of my painting (Stile at Bow Brickhill) to the MKSA's Patron the Mayor of Milton Keynes, David Hopkins.

April 2018. Message received from SAA: "Thank you for entering the SAA Artist of the Year competition 2018. This year only 300 paintings were progressed through to the latter stages of judging, before unfortunately just missing out on the final stage and subsequent awarding. For this you must be commended and I hope you quite rightly feel a great sense of pride for progressing as far as you did. I can inform you that out of a total of almost 2,000 entries, your painting(s) entitled 'Grey Heron' and 'Oh I do like beside the seaside' progressed through to the latter stages of the competition."

August 2018. MKSA held a competition between members for the 5 pictures to be entered into Leisure Painter Magazine's "Art Club of the Year 2018". The selected entry was made by votes from all the members. My painting "Winter Tree at Stony Stratford" was selected as one of the 5. MKSA have reached the finals in 2016 and 2017 but we have never won. You can see all the pictures in our entry at

August 2018. Fame at last! Two of my pictures in MKSA's Bank Holiday Exhibition at Woburn Sands are featured in Milton Keynes Citizen under the heading "Ten of the best things to do in and around Milton Keynes in the rest of the month" Read more at:
